Project area B: Adaption Mechanisms

Project area B (adaptation mechanisms) uses the methodical foundation of project area A to adapt a communication system based on the required and reached quality. Therefore, it is necessary to capture the environmental conditions, the system state and the actually reached quality in interaction with project area C. The analysis of this data allows the short- and long-term planning of transitions. In particular, decentralized organized overlay-networks can be subject to conflicts regarding system-wide quality improvement and the autonomous decision ability of individual members. This requires incentives to motivate individual members of a transition. If a transition is considered to be necessary, the execution of a transition is realized in cooperation with project area C.
