The complexity of nowadays systems will increase. The Internet of Things will add millions of devices from homes and industry to global communication networks. Plus all the mobile devices that users will carry and that are embedded in mobile artefacts, such as cars, trains and planes. Configuring and maintaining such networks is becoming harder due to the inherent complexity and dynamism. In many situation, the only person in a place is the user. Thus, systems need to self-organize and adapt to changes in their configuration.

This workshop brings together a set of experts working on different aspects of self-organizing systems. Software engineering aspects are covered as well as the role of artificial intelligence and how a future Internet will need to adapt in order to route traffic. Additionally, a tutorial will provide an overview of the field. There is enough time planned for discussions with experts and a panel will give the opportunity for an exchange of views.
