Abstract
The 5G standalone core is based on latest technologies and concepts such as cloud, statelessness and automation. However, it's introduction holds a number of challenges and completely new ways of operation. At the same time the 5G SA Core offers new functionalities which enables new use cases which may offer additional value for the customer or help to reduce costs. This presentation explains technical fundamentals, important implementation aspects and some promising new use case examples.
Bio
Stefanus Römer graduated at the RWTH Aachen in 1994. He has been working for Deutsche Telekom for more than 25 years in different positions. His main expertise is in the area of mobile core network. Currently, he works as a Network Architect for Cloud-based platforms and services where he concentrates on topics around 5G SA core.
