Abstract
Large scale Content Delivery Infrastructures (CDI), such as Hypergiants (Google, Facebook, Baidu, etc.) or global CDNs (Akamai, Limelight, etc.) run massive, distributed deployments around the world and contribute a major part of Internet traffic. For them, it is vital that their content gets to users as fast as possible. They need to choose the „best“ server all the time, every time. In this talk, I will explain practical challenges faced by both network operators and CDIs. I will further explain an approach to tackle these challenges.
