Female Student Travel Award 2024
With the Female Student Travel Award, the collaborative research centers MAKI and CROSSING, the research training group Privacy & Trust, the LOEWE center emergenCITY, and the Zuse School ELIZA recognise exceptionally well performances of female students in computer science, electrical engineering, information technology, and artificial intelligence. The ten award winners can attend one of the following conferences, which are focused on connecting female computer science and engineering researchers, to take advantage of the excellent networking opportunities during these events.
The conferences
Winners can choose from one of the following conferences:
- Informatica Feminale and Ingenieurinnen-Sommeruni(14/08 – 29/08 in Bremen, Germany)
- ditact Summer Studies (2/9 – 6/9 in Salzburg, Austria)
- Ada Lovelace Festival (6/11 – 7/11 in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and virtual)
- Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (8/10 – 11/10 in Philadelphia, PA, USA)
- Women Engineers (WE) Conference (24/10 – 26/10 in Chicago, IL, USA)

- Optionally, you can include which conference you wish to attend.
For the two stipends offered by MAKI, students of all our partner universities/institutions can apply, i.e., female students of TU Darmstadt, RWTH Aachen, University Frankfurt, University Marburg, University Koblenz, University Duisburg-Essen, University Stuttgart, University Paderborn are eligible.
